Caryn Belafsky, MD

Caryn Belafsky, MD, MPH is a board-certified pediatrician, practicing in the Rogue Valley since 1999. She brings a wealth of experience to her clinical practice and patient care.

Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Belafsky graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She attended Tulane University where she earned a Medical degree (MD) and a Masters degree in Public Health (MPH). In 1998, she completed a combined residency program at the University of Texas at Houston in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

In 1999, Dr. Belafsky joined Family Practice Group in Medford, Oregon. For over 20 years, she worked as a primary care physician and group partner. In 2022, she opened the doors to her clinic, Siskiyou Family Health in partnership with Dr. Jani Rollins.

Dr. Belafsky has a special interest in family medicine and pediatrics. Listening to the needs of the patient and partnering with them in their healthcare is her priority.

I am excited to be practicing medicine in a small, independent clinic. My goal is to create an environment where personal connections are valued. Cultivating a strong relationship with each patient over time is central to wellness and healing.

My priority is to form a solid bond of trust and care with each patient – this bond is the starting point from where positive change and healing begins. This truly is a privilege that I never take for granted. Being able to share in the lives of my patients in a positive way is the most rewarding job I could imagine.

Medicine is not a one size fits all prescription, but rather the intersection of science and art. No two patients are alike. I actively partner with each individual patient in determining the best path forward towards healing and maintaining optimal health. I want my patients to feel empowered about their health and treatment options.

Dr. Caryn Belafsky has been my primary doctor for 13 years. She has also become my husband's and children's doctor. It's so wonderful she can treat the whole family! I am so thankful that I found Dr. Caryn Belafsky many, many years ago. When she said she was transferring to Ashland it did not take me long to decide that I would follow. It is a longer drive for me, but it it is definitely worth it (and who doesn't love to visit Ashland on occasion?). Her new office has a small town feel to it in a nice way and the staff have been extremely helpful and have not made me feel like needed to rush when I call. I had an insurance problem and they immediately helped me work it out. I have always appreciated Dr. B's relaxed and confident manner. She listens carefully, asks questions, and explains things in an easily understandable way. I find her to be someone I can share my fears and trust she will give me the best advice for each situation. She has recommended a more natural approach at times but also knows when modern medicine is necessary. I trust her and believe she is an excellent physician!

Dr. Belafsky has been my primary care physician for many years. I have found her to be interested in me and my care. Dr. B. is willing to take all the time necessary to listen to my questions and concerns. We've gone through so many health concerns together including years of sleep problems, menopause, and this year three brain surgeries! Dr. Belafsky is one of the finest doctors we are fortunate to have in the Rogue Valley. She is knowledgeable, caring and compassionate and if a specialist is needed she will recommend top notch doctors that have these same qualities. I have been seeing Dr. Belafsky for many years. She is very caring, understanding and knowledgeable. She has always made me feel comfortable and has a friendly demeanor. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a Primary Care. Previously she practiced in Medford, however she has moved to the new Ashland location, Siskiyou Family Health.
